Quick Chat Settings

Quick Chat lets staff send a short question to a guest in real time, directly to their confirmation page. The guest taps a reply, and the answer is recorded on their entry — no phone call needed.

A common use is to ask about seating preference while the guest is waiting: "Any seating preference?" with options like "Indoor" or "Outdoor".

Creating Prompt Sets

In Settings → Quick Chat, each prompt set contains:

  • A question text (e.g. "Any seating preference?")
  • Two or more answer choices (e.g. "Indoor", "Outdoor", "No preference")

You can create multiple prompt sets and choose which list type they apply to — Waitlist, Reservations, or both.

Mapping Answers to Badges

Each answer choice can be linked to a badge. When a guest selects that answer, the corresponding badge is automatically added to their entry. This keeps your seating data organized without any manual input from staff.

Enabling on Confirmation Page

When turned on, the prompt appears automatically on the guest's confirmation page when they first view it — no staff action needed to initiate it.
