Guest Status & Actions

Each guest on the waitlist moves through a status flow as staff take action. The typical path is:

Waiting → Paged or Called → Completed

Calling a Guest

Tap Call on a guest's row to mark them as Called. On mobile, tapping the phone icon opens the phone dialer directly with the guest's number pre-filled.

Use this when you contact the guest by phone to let them know their table is ready. The Called badge appears on their row so the rest of the team knows contact has been made.

Paging a Guest

Tap Page on a guest's row to send an in-app notification to the guest's confirmation page. The guest sees an alert telling them their table is ready.

On mobile, a short undo countdown appears after tapping Page — giving you a few seconds to cancel if you tapped by mistake.

The Paged badge appears on the guest's row. Paging and Calling are independent — you can do both.

Completing a Guest

Tap Complete (or the checkmark action) to move the guest to the Completed tab. This means the guest has been seated or their visit is done.

Completing a guest removes them from the active waitlist immediately.

Cancelling a Guest

Tap Cancel on a guest's row to remove them from the waitlist. The guest moves to the Completed tab with a Cancelled status.

Use this when a guest leaves without being seated, or when they request to be removed.
